Do you remember the knife that got you addicted? Do you still have that knife? Let's hear about it!

Mine started on the day after my 18th birthday. I went to the cutlery and bought a Benchmade 905SBT. I still have it (my b-day was only 6 months ago) and don't plan to get rid of it anytime soon. It's got some scratches on the BT coating, but I love that thing. The very first knife that I ever recieved as a gift was a Gerber AR 3.0 for my 16th birthday from my dad, which I still have. It fails the spine whack test, but I take it fishing and won't be getting rid of it.

Spyderco Harpy. (Yes, I learned about it from _there_.) And yes, I still have it. Planning to keep it forever. It was my first real knife.

Mine was given to me by my Grandpa about 5 years ago. It is made by Richartz, but the model is Degen, single blade lockback with ABS Scales (I think). It is no longer made.

Regards,
Steve

My first knife I got when I was 5... for my bday... still have it

The one that got me though was my FRN PE ATS-55 Delica. I wasn't really into the higher priced stuff, just going on cheap $5-10 ones till they were crap, then bought a new one... Went for 3 weeks of leadership/instructors training with AirCadets, came back with $110 of my $180 left to play with, knew I wanted a new knife about 1/2 way though my time. I came back and probably spent about 2hrs finding a knife under $100 that felt good in my hand... Well, I own 7 now, given 5 as gifts(including my Delica), have 5 coming for xmas to bring the count to 12, and 5... and I only got the Delica in Aug 99.

1973 when my grandpa died my grandma gave me his knife. I lost it three days later, havent been the same since!!! It was a two bladed cattarugus jack knife with tortoise shell scales.
