Do you remember?

Do you remember where you were that day?
Do you remember what you were doing that day?

I DO!!!!

I remember where I was and what I was doing that day. I remember with sadness in my heart for those folks in New York, Washington DC, and Pennsylvania. I remember for their friends and families..."I will never forget". I remember for our countries hero's who have fought for my freedom; both past wars and present. I will always remember for all of those who have paid the ultimate price for our freedom. "GOD BLESS AMERICA"

Thank you Ohen Cepel and all of your bothers at arms. Be safe in that sand box....GOD BLESS you all. I thank you for my freedom, my sons and daughters freedom, and my country's freedom.

Please take a moment to remember. Then take a moment to thank our countries soldiers and veterans for our freedom.

jb4570,

Thanks for posting. As I type this, my youngest son, Nathan, is arriving at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. He signed up with the United States Army and shipped out this morning. My wife and I are very proud of him.

God Bless America,
Mike

I had a lot typed here, but deleted it all as it would probably be viewed as politically incorrect (ie, not fitting with the conservative majority's view).

All I'll say is that I'm deeply sorry for what happened that day and for all those who lost their lives and lost family and friends. I have the deepest respect for our soldiers fighting out there, and I thank them.

The events of September 11, 2001 were a tragedy. But what were the lives lost that day and the lives of our men and women in the military worth? Considering what's taken place in the years since, nothing. As cold as it may sound, they died for absolutely nothing. They died on promises that were never kept and lies told to a mourning nation.

Seven years have turned a tragic day into an atrocity. A hole has been dug that it will take far, far longer to dig out of than it took to fall in.

All we can do, all we've ever been able to do, is mourn the dead, mourn for our once great country and hope like hell we get it back and that it's not too late when we do.

Personally, I'm sick of all this "playing victim" and maudlin and jingoistic dog crap ceremonies.

Those who deny the fact that America has guilt and responsibility for what happened that day are dishonest. America asked for it.

That 9/11 attack was totally predictable given America's bellicose and exploitative fifty-plus year stance toward the oil-rich nations of the Middle-East. America played the bully and bullies must expect to get a punch back once in a while.....even from their weakest victims.

The bully weeping and moaning because somebody hit him back is one of the most pathetic displays imaginable.

America needs to smarten up and quit catering to Israel.

America also needs to respect the rights of the rest of the people of the world.

America needs to wake up and smell the coffee.

i morn all of those have passed on from this...
from the top of the building were i worked i could see the smoke from the Pentagon..
i could hear the thunder of the after burners from the Air Guard as i watched the smoke..

the sky was strangely empty for days..

why are we still sending our family to die ...
we should have been past this...

what was done on 9-11 was an act of war allowed by a group of persons by the Gov of Afghanistan... no less then then P.H. over 50 years ago..
our response then would have been to attack and deal with any that harbored them ..
our response now is shame full ... we attack a small country that was only a threat to those that hate us ( except for Israel)
so what Packastan has a bomb ... we know were they are...
so what Iran has some glow in the dark stuff..
they are attacking our Military!!!
they need to clean house or live with the results of a Large God fearing country saying
i am mad as hell and we are not going to take it any more...

Dishonest? Anyone who disagrees with you is dishonest ... or perhaps of a different opinion?

You're the one who needs to wake up and smell the coffee.

I gather
you'd rather
we'd have sat back
and prayed they wouldn't do it again?

I was on the phone with Larry Oden, talking about the Buck Knives I had found, watching the first tower burn when the second tower was hit. I was on vacation (I live north of Detroit, MI) staying overnight in a motel in Sundance, WY. I had breakfast in town and went to Devil's Tower and on to Theodore Roosevelt National Park in North Dakota. All day there was no traffic and the sky was as blue as I have ever seen it with no jet contrails. I stopped at a state park in Montana late that afternoon and hiked to the sound of machine gun fire coming from the gun range next door. I wasn't sure why the guys at the range in Glendive, MT thought they would need a machine gun but at least they got some anger out of their system.

WOW!:eek::thumbdn:

No victims that day deserved to die,I will remember and honor them for as long as I live.

I was test driving a repaired truck on the freeway in morning traffic when the first report came in on the radio.I thought it was a small plane.
I called my wife and told her to record the events on the VCR.
When I got back to work everyone was around the tv in the lobby
when the second plane hit, then I knew it was not an accident.

You can see downtown Dallas from the back of the shop and we were hoping that the same events didnot occur here.

Then we heard about the Pentagon and Pennsylvania crashes.
Work stopped for the rest of the day.

Benyamin, I agree w/ you. We have enemies here at home that enjoy the protective umbrella of free speech and love to play that card when it suits them. DM

You heard me right.

Sure, and that's fine for you. No problem.

Just remember that the millions who have died, been tortured and falsely imprisoned in their own lands over the last fifty years of American aggression and oppression didn't deserve it either......and their loved ones are honoring and remembering them just as you remember yours.

The solution lies with changing attitudes in America and respecting the rights and property of the rest of the world.......because America was first aggressor in the current war.

If America can't learn to get along with the rest of the world, America will continue to slide DOWNHILL.

Yes, America needs to wake up and smell the coffee.

Who's "We?"

And who are these "enemies?"

I'm quite interested in your explanation.

You, Rocinante. Your ignorance and spite are the enemy. You are welcome to take your concerns to the Political Arena. This is not the forum for them. This thread was a short break to pay respects to our dead. If you cannot respect a funeral service, I will eject you.

Exuse me if you will, but you speak of American oppression and our bad behavior toward the rest of the world. Of victims in other places being morned by thier loved ones.

But yet you reside in the U.S.of A.

Appartently you like the lifestyle the free country gives you, but feel your loyalties are elseware. If you really object to the "Amercian agression" why don't you go live someplace else with nice non-agressive people?

If you hate America that much, then GET OUT!

I don't hate America, I hate Fascists.

Obviously, since I am retired from a career in the military, I would have served my time to secure YOUR rights to free speech and freedom......and I will defend those rights.

I'll reside here as much as I please.....if you don't like it, tough.

This thread has nothing to do with knives and is offensive to those of us who see the truth about 9/11.......pure right-wing political posturing.

Send it to the Political Forum.

Your name-calling just proves you can't handle the truth.

This thread has nothing to do with knives, so what's it doing here to offend those of us who understand the truth about 9/11????

Should have been moved immediately.....no knife content.....all political content.

I'm so glad we have you here to set us strate on everything. I think the moderators are really glad to have you around to. Esav had no idea what he was doing before you showed up. Is there anything you're not an expert on?

This thread does not belong in the Political Arena. Content is not everything; format also counts, especially now that the PA has been modified.

Off-topic posting is a legitimate practice as long as it is not abused. In the Buck forum, it has not been abused. Since this otherwise legitimate thread has been hijacked, I am locking it, to end the trolling.
