I have sharpened my Striders, Kizers, Benchmades, ZT's new, and have gotten a better edge, do you guys recommend or sharpen your new CRK's out of the box, I just used the extra pair of ultra fine Spyderco stones and a strop

CRK, with only one exception for me, has provided a nice edge out of the box. I don't like to remove steel unless needed, so I wait until they need it before sharpening them.

I like to strop the factory edge until I can't bring it back anymore, then reprofile.

Yes. U can get to agressive. After the corners of the whites on my SM. I do about 15 strokes per side on the Gray side . Then another 15 per side on the green fine chromium oxide side of the strop. That's about the climax of my strop work. Same goes for touch ups. Using no more than the weight of the knife. I'd love to post a video of my stropping technique. I'd have to get my wife to help me.

Is there something as too much stropping?

My Inkosi was shaving sharp out of the box. My new Small 21 Insingo was not. Not sure if I will touch it up or wait until it needs it more.

Many Sebenza's i receive for service & sharpening are brand new.
Often heard owner complaints: opening the blade is too difficult / too "hydraulic", the edge is not sharp enough, the edge angle does not match the sharpening angles on the Spyderco Sharpmaker.

If the knife is going to be a safe queen then don't touch it! But if it is going to be used then by all means sharpen if it needs it. Carefully. I wouldn't worry about removing steel. There is a lot of steel there and it's fairly hard so you won't be needing to sharpen it often anyway.

My Sebenza was plenty sharp out of the box, so I didn't need to sharpen it until I had given it quite a bit of hard use.
