You guys with multiple Emersons do you use and carry all of them? Or do you have some that are for collecting only? I have 5 Emersons now and have only used two. I want to break out my signed Combat System Fighter but I just cant do it haha. I know they are made to be used, and maybe its my ocd, but for now im just keeping it mint. I mean how many carry knives does one need? Maybe im just crazy!

I like to carry and use all of them. I don't really get any enjoyment out of knowing I own it and it just sits in the box.

I have many Emerson Knives that I have acquired over the years. Most of them get carried but I have favorites that get carried much more than others. There are times that I want something different so I'll carry one that usually doesn't get taken out.

I have 3 Emerson's. I carried, and used them to some degree, for maybe 2-3 years before they got set aside. I don't think I've had one in my pocket since 2002.

I use them all including my 2002 ECA Persian and my custom CQC-8. Most used is my 2004 CQC-12

Only the vindicator gets pocket time. Sadly only 2 of my knives get most of my pocket time, zt 550 at work and lionsteel sr1a outside of work. I should leave an emmy on my bureau so it'll be there when I throw my pants on.

On hell yea I use mine! The only ones that don't see much use anymore are my Karambits, but even then they still get pocket time.

I carry my Horseman specifically as an edc utility(which it excels in) in my backpocket and usually one of my other larger folders in front for "deadly intent" and enjoyment of carry. While at work I usually front pocket my user jungle commander and it gets the hard use. I keep my Horseman Lazer sharp and the commander has been reprofiled to a v and stays at a sharp utility edge. All my other rotated Knives are factory sharp and I use but not hard. My newly acquired Tiger is screaming to become a front pocket user however.

They ALL get pocket time!

If it lives with me it has to earn its keep. Yes I do carry them all. Even the Protech/Emerson auto gets some carry. I have a few favorites that get most of the time, but they all get a chance eventually, if they stay long enough.

Yep! And I will use my new Hard Wear Tanto when it arrives this week.

Yes.

Which is precisely why I went from owning 12 +/- at any given time to owning 2 currently (might go back to 1 again...)

I decided less is more, but owning an Emerson is a MUST for me

I only have two I have not used - but I always have my CQC15 in my pocket.

One is a Christmas Journeyman, and the other is a Navy Search and Rescue knife, a NSAR.

They are not redily available, although the NSAR did become available after a fellow member here urged EKI to do so. That was awesome.

My NSAR is in my daypack in the car (within arm's reach) in case I come across an accident - or need it myself. It was an actual Navy item from 2012.

The Christmas Journeyman is a special one to me, so I will not use it hard. But it will get used at some point. The photo below is from Emerson's own website, and I was fortunate enough to get that actual one. The Digi Camo is phenomenal, but I understand it was pretty pricey so never put into production.

Emersons must be used! At least that's my feeling... I use my big 'ol Ubr Commander every chance I get--what a beast. I have a cqc-15 inbound to be my new edc. That, and a small traditional, not to scare the gentle folk...:D

Sweet journeyman!

Shame to have them just sitting there. Never thought about selling them?

Don't happen to have a Mini A100 do you haha.

Buy a spare to keep mint, use the other one.

You never know when you'll lose or destroy a piece of gear and you never know when they are going to be discontinued.

There is ALOT to be said for this. My idea is to have a back up of the same style of blade. It doesn't have to be exactly the same knife but same style blade and size. It does take some of the pressure off of using the hell out of a knife knowing you have a cherry one waiting as a back up. The only caveat to this is with a Emerson, its so damn tough you don't wear out the first one. :D

"One is none and two is one"
