Do you use blue loctite on your sebenzas?

And is it ok to use it? I know that CRK tells you not to use it, but I assume they were talking about the red, permanent loctite.

After 13 years of sebenza EDC with no screws backing out, and during every disassembly finding the screws as tight as when I previously assembled it, I conclude that there's no reason to use loctite.

Don't use it. They tell you not to for a reason. The tolerances on Sebenzas are so tight that loctite is not needed.

why would you need loctite?

I've never had a problem, snug them up and leave them alone.

Loctite is a great product and I used the blue exclusively on my Harley.I find that my Sebenzas don't vibrate nearly as much so it's not necessary.:D
All kidding aside,it's really not.:)

If you use any, use the purple (small fastener) type. Won't locklike the others, but will keep things snug, that may need to be removed with slight torque.

No, I don't. It is NOT needed. And CRK tells you to not use it for a reason.

The reason they tell you not to use it is because the pin on the otherside will just rotate and you won't be able to loosen the screw.

I did this on my small Sebenza years ago and was only able to get it loose again by dipping it into just boiled water.

I used blue loctite.
