Do you use your Custom Shops and Limited Editions?

I'm not a safe queen guy or a collector. I like to use what I put my hard earned coin into. Any other folks feel the same way? Post some pics if you got 'em!
 
All my Busses are Combat Grades that have been stripped except this one... and it's Custom Shop and it's a user:

I've found most CS's are optimized for "looks" and give up a little in terms of utility for beauty....so, I've only owned a couple.

My tastes in the customization area slant more toward usability than showy-ness...so I do most of fine tuning myself...if I feel the upgrade is outside my skill <and tool> set, I ship it off to REK.

As for LE models, those are some of the best users. Like my B8 LE...best fixed blade...ever.

I have no worries using up LE's, there's always one or two more of those to be had. As for a "1 of 1" CS, I probably wouldn't use it, therefore, I wouldn't buy it to begin with.

But like most things in life, there are exceptions, but there are NO REGRETS! EVER!
 
I do my best (didn't do so great this year) to get my #1 B4LE bloody every year. It likes blood :D

And as Petey mentioned, the B8LE is made to work. Although, while both are technically LE's, I'm not sure I really consider them in the same bucket as the fancy-handle LE's and customs. At least, they certainly don't carry the price tag.
 
I use every Busse I get. I beat the crap out of all of them. Jerry told me to. And why else wouldn't you? I learned the true love of INFI through hard use. Be that as it may, I don't buy mammoth tooth Busse blades or any other ones that look like I'd break em. TG14' Custom Shop I had saw much beating.
 
I only have one CS (MSE) and one LE (SOB), but they both get used. The CS gets treated a lot more tenderly though.
 
I don't own any custom shops but I do have a few LE's and they are users. I can only like a blade to a certain extent if all I do is look at and fondle it. That like often can turn to love but only thru use. You must use a knife to truly know that knife!
 
I don't simply because I have plenty of users so no need to beat up the nice blades that I enjoy keeping clean and fondling :)
 
I have said this before, who in their right mind would actually use their custom shop knife...

I don't have custom work but a Rockstead,I usually don't use it because I don't want to damage its mirror surface: D.I prefer to use my mora.

I don't mind using my LE models, but I have a couple of custom shop knives that likely will not be used. Never say never! ;)

Well I just scored this a few minutes ago! Man this is a dreaded disease. Can't wait to have it in hand and get some blood and whiskey on it!

I just remembered that I actually do/have used my custom shop Shiva Rex. I've actually sold most of mine that are custom/LE. I think I'm down to three custom shop blades and a SFNO LE.

I don't buy unless I'm willing to use it. That being said, I do have a few that have been left safe queens, but unintentionally.
