Hello guys:)

I have some fine folders in my collection but i never bought a custom.
The reason why i didn't buy one until this day is because i don't know if i would be able to use it! Most seem to beautiful to put scratches on:)
I see many guys showing pics or videos on they're custom knives but very rarely do i see someone using them.
One guy i see on here using his Warlock, a Gareth Bull's custom folder, is marthinus but other than him i don't recall anyone showing off his user custom!
So what i ask is this:

Do you use your custom?
If so, got proof of that?
They say an image is worth a 1000 words so show me:D

Thanks for looking:)

I rotate knives on a regular basis. It seems like I just keep finding stuff I want and will carry. Customs work in rotation with some factory stuff. Still, I like to keep things looking fairly good (no visible abuse). A good example is this WD Pease; it's been back to the maker for a buff and polish after 10 years of use. Before/after:

This Chris Reeves is custom as they get; South African build, has my name on it, and it's been all over the world including a combat tour in Iraq back in 07-08. Recently refinshed by the factory:

This Jeff Cover got a lot of pocket time, but lately it's on the shelf. I've replaced it with the Ohta Wharncliff.

To me part of the love of a good knife is in the use. I've bought knives that will never get used, but I use a lot of knives that others wouldn't consider carrying.

Not only do I use my customs, I usually mod them.

Darrel Ralph HD Maxx recurvr tanto (12 made IIRC)

Guess what the mods are...

Not sure... I eyeballed it on a slack belt.

Flipper removed, leaving wave only?

That knife was never meant to be waved. The "wave" is part of the guard. It just so happens to work well as a wave. Beyond that, CM has done a complete regrind of the blade. That is not a standard DDR blade shape. He also flattened the inlays and repositioned the pocket clip.

I've got 6 custom folders right now. On 5 out of the 6 I have reprofiled the edges and regularly use and carry them.
2 or 3 years ago I had over 100 knives, 95% were safe queens. I decided to sell them all and now have around 15 nice knives.
I buy what I like and use them. If I want to try out an expensive knife I usually sell a user and take a loss on the knife. It's well worth it to me to get to use the best knives that are out there.

Don't have any customs that I haven't used.....

Plenty of photos of all of mine here on BF.

Some of my edc rotation.
Knives are by Tony and Reese Bose, Ken Erickson, Kerry Hampton and Rick Menefee.
These knives are made too well not to use.
