I just recieved a beautiful FBM with Tigerskin Micarta grips (#850). To be honest, it is almost to nice to use. And oh man is it a like no other BM or knife I've ever held!

So do you use your LE knives? Why or why not?

Thanks
Luke

P.s. The Game Warden is sure a fantastic piece as well. It makes me miss the Custom Shop AD I sold to Tony G. The GM is literally a pocket knife with the right sheath. Nice job on these Jerry!

Yup. I have used my FBM LE a few times around the yard as well as my SJTACLE and several other satin finished blades, especially my original Custom Shop AD.

If you think that LE looks good, give it a beating and see how good it really is. :D

...And it cleans up nicely.

My FBM LE has been used almost as much as my CG FBM.

I also use my custom shop giraffe bone leaner meaner

Unless keeping knives mint gives you some kind of pleasure I just don't see the point. I mean what are you saving it for? Knives, especially Busses, are made to be used.

I'm of two minds, at least about the FBM LE.

So, when the first mind went to sleep, the second mind got a second LE.

And I'm beating that one like a red-headed step-child. :D

What he said. And don't worry about "messing it up". Satin finish looks pretty, but it's not fragile. You can beat on it a whole lot and it will still look pretty much the same. It will scratch, but the scratches will be minimal, and will add "character". Your FBMLE will still be beautiful, no matter how hard you beat no it. You couldn't mess up a FBM if you tried.

I don't have an LE yet. I ordered ASH-1 LE. I do use my EU-17 regular #2 though. It is much more rare than any LE. I only buy and keep knives that I'll use.

I don't own an LE yet but when I do, I definitely won't use it.
That's what knives with the other finishes are for ! ;)

Sag.

I agree with this way of thinking, the problem is my wife doesn't.:(

I've been chopping, throwing, sanding and prying with my FBM LE. I find it twice as satisfying to use and abuse a really nice knife, especially one like this that can take everything you throw at it and still buff up nice as new.

Ive used my meaner LE to dress a few deer and baton some 2x4's into kindling. I plan to use it alot more once I have free time. Whats the point of having a nice knife if your not going to use it?

The only other option is to hang it on your wall like a trophy or something ...
Thats no fun at all.... Use that FBM LE there are almost 1000 of the suckers.
Or just buy a FFFBM for half the price, it's basically the same blade other than finish..

I've got lots of knives that will never be used. Why, I don't know, I just can't seem to stop buying them. At this point I can say the LE's will never be used, I got lots of others to use. It's all in fun, if I had to go somewhere my life or safety was in question, then I would take the best, a Busse LE in whatever size was appropriate for the occasion.
