Do you use your mastersmith knives?

I've seen my share of user production and custom knives but not too many that are made by the great mastersmiths. They have obviously earned their titles by the fabrication of some of the finest knives in the world but very rarely do I see pictures of M.S. knives that have been put to the test of day to day use. Post them pictures of M.S. knives that have been used! I've decided to use one of my larger M.S. knives and will have a picture up a little later. :)

I only have one mastersmith made knife. It might not be what you are looking for since the maker received his MS status from the Finnish Ministry of Education and not the ABS.

Thanks for sharing. I was looking specifically for ABS M.S. users but the one you shared is awesome. Looks very functional as well. By the response of this thread, it appears nobody uses their M.S. knives.

Here's mine. I decided to use my Jason Knight MS bowie/camp knife. To say it bit deeply is an understatement. :)

I have a couple that are used. One of them is heavily used and another I gave to my dad. That is what they were made for. Then there are a few M.S. test daggers. Carry those quite often; never know when ya might have to dag someone. ;).

Seriously, one is a camp knife by Ray Kirk (Raker Knives) the other is a two blade gunstock by Bailey Bradshaw. Both are forged 52100. My dad's is a 52100 desk knife by Ray with a fancy wood handle.

In just a couple of weeks or so, there will be one of the largest gatherings (if not the largest) of Mastersmiths a person will find this year. Some will have a few everyday working knives at very reasonable prices. So if you are going to Blade, keep you eyes open. I would begin my search at Ray Kirk's table and check out the work of plenty of others in the A.B.S. section pick one that you like within your budget and enjoy using it. It does not hurt a bit. Warning, there may not ever be a factory fixed blade in you future after that :D

Nice Knight.

I want a double rifle made by Bailey.

My Tomes is definitely a user.

Love that Tomes. Had a paring knife made by him and it's a scalpel. I also have a carter gyuto that's amazing, nice carter swatpup! Keep em coming!
