Do you want to see more micarta?

I would.

The Endela's trim blade looks like it EDC's like a boss - but I already have two or three knives with fiberglass handles :)....

I would love to see a model that featured micarta handle scales (attached w/screws), skeletonized liners, a compression lock, Endela-style blade (w/slightly thicker stock), and perhaps a finger choil - in a sub 4 oz package. I can't be the only one who would get in line.

Thoughts / opinions?

I'd love more Spyderco folders with micarta scales! Have numerous fixed blades with OEM and aftermarket micarta that I've used over the years, And less then a handful of folders (mostly Italian makers) with
Micarta.

After getting in on the Crucarta Shaman, I ordered a set of Ripps Garage Tech micarta scales for my S110V PM2. I can't keep it out of my pocket! :)

Yes on more Micarta.

Micarta Yojimbo in a carbon or tool steel.
Yes on ^this :eek::D:thumbsup:

But I'll still buy the big 4" model coming out in regular G10 and s30v if for some reason it doesn't happen.

I wouldn’t mind trying it out but I was one of the many that couldn’t get the micarta shaman so I’m not sure what it’s really like.

At this point I would be more excited to see more models with the option of the coarse G10 like what is on the Siren. I would buy most of my go to models again if they came out with this coarser G10 in the right colors.

The broader knife market appears to be very hungry for micarta. I feel that any popular Spyderco knife platform that's typically in G10 would sell through a sprint run immediately with micarta scales.

Any of the high performance tool steels would be in extremely high demand with micarta.

Smooth in the hand. Smooth in and out of the pocket. Good grip even when wet.

Was the Micarta Cruwear Shaman so popular because of the Micarta or because of the Cruwear? Was it popular because a burly steel was combined with a burly micarta??

I'd like to see different kinds of micarta.

Based on function, which micarta would be best for a knife in S90V versus which would be best for how CPM-4V potentially can be used?

When done correctly it can become a force multiplier in function and in the marketplace.

Example: Cruwear Micarta Shaman

I'll always say yes to more micarta. A Slysz Bowie or Swayback with burgandy micarta inserts would be amazing.

Absolutely yes to micarta but no to sprint runs. Some of the beauty of micarta is that it darkens over time and or gains character as you use it. That IMO doesn't mesh well with collectors item that will sell for a premium because it's rare. Don't get me wrong, I'm not one that would buy one of these knives with the intention of flipping it, I would want to use it; but when a knife that should be a user starts selling in the secondary market at twice retail the opportunity cost of what other knives you could have with that money comes into consideration. When a $200 knife becomes a $400 knife for no reason other than scarcity, one can't help but wonder, "Why not just have a $400 knife?".

I am in 100% agreement. Unless I had a strong sentimental attachment to the knife, the profit / "what if" motive would eventually be deafening. I don't know why it isn't offered as an upgrade on some of the spyderco models, like the Para 2 for example. In the world of fixed blades I think TOPS does that sort of thing.
