Dobruski on auction?

The seller should know that this knife is not a Bali-Song, but a balisong. There's a difference.

Also sort of misleading to use the Benchmade buttterfly-logo stand for the picture.

Other than that, the knife itself is doubtlessly quite nice. It'll be very, very interesting to follow this auction as this is, I think, the first of Mr. Dobruski's balis to come up for auction, the real test.

That's either CB08 or CB09 (those are about the only ones I don't have a picture of :) ).

BTW, sellers, if you're thinking you want a lot of money for your knife, you owe the buyers a good picture. It's disrespectiful to buyers not to provide a good picture. If you can't take one yourself, then spring $20 and get one taken for you.

I can assure you that it's NOT CB08...............;) Mines all stainless with the stag handle inserts. :)

I hope it goes for a lot as it is mine No. CB09. Need to make room for #16 with heavier blade and SS frame.

Should have just called it a Butterfly, the stand was for a nice presentation (it does not say Benchmade/Bali-Song, but obviously it is). I hope no one is/was offended too badly.

So, that's what's holding up my #CB17 Scimitar.......;) Great knife, I hope you do well with it!

Hopefully, someone who would like an opportunity for a great Dobruski Bali for their collection will get this one. If it does not sell, I will gladly put it back in my collection. As Gollnick said, it will be an interesting market test for Dobruski's fine Balis.

We are only caretakers of these fine objects, and it is time for some other fortunate person to take care of this great knife, while I anxiously await my stainless steel extra long/extra thick bladed version No.16 :D

Dudley, nice Ti Custom Bali-Song by-the-way - congratulations! That is definitely the grand prize.

Remember, there are no U-haul trailers behind a hearse.

That's a very beautiful knife EdgeFinder :) Yeah...I hope she goes to a nice home.I'm sure your next one will be just as sweet.

Man..you have a grim way of looking at things Edge, even though it's the truth. One thing about balisongs though...they're small enough to
stuff in a coffin ;) One of my buddies says that all of his collection
are going to be buried with him, when it's his time to go.

Chuck... did you just retouch that picture in PhotoShop, or did you create a new one (exactly the same) using your own bali ?????

It is a gorgeous knife, but I don't know how high it will go. I'm not that up on Balisongs, and don't really know the value of Dobruski's knives. If I were to guess... $550<p>Very Nice knives Michael! :)

Gigante: he retouched it with a Photo program.

I don't know if it will go that high narruc1, but none of us really know since it is THE first Dobruski that is going on auction. It will be interesting to see.

I did two things: first, I corrected the color. The original was way red. This actually makes the picture look more "in focus" too. Second, I cropped the picture down so that the knife was centered and a lot of unnecessary background was removed.

The auction is closed now. Final price: $402.00
Looks like the buyer just barely snuck in there with 5 minutes left.
