For years I tried to get Walt to design a knife. I wanted a pocketknife that we would call the Dr. Welch. (Walt was one of the first to recognize the value of Talonite. I owe him for that as for so many other things.)
If anyone wanted to design one I will be happy to pay for it. If the doc has a charity we could do something there. (I am making the assumption that he left his family taken care of. Probably one of the safest bets I ever made.)
Anyway, I am sort of floundering here but I would like to do something.
A good, solid, honest knife with a lot of class. Something you could use in a medical emergency if you really had to. It doesn't need a corkscrew because California wines all come with twist off caps. (Doc and I used to tease each other about California vs. Washington wines. When I sent him wine I always sent a corkscrew with instructions on how to use it since I figured he didn't know being from California and all.)
If this idea makes sense to anyone let me know, please.
