I picked up my Dodo about an hour and a half ago. As soon as I opened the box, my first reaction was how small the knife was! I opened it up, silky smooth action. The Dodo feels really good in my hand, almost like it was made for me. It feels like you are holding a big knife, even though it is so small.

The blue G-10 is cool, but seemed a little plastic-y at first..I know it will wear nicely though (My Chinook II seemed the same way at first..something about the Golden G-10 seems different than the Japanese G-10 on my Ocelot). Lockup is rock solid, no blade play AT ALL. I am completely satisfied with the lockup.

I love the way this knife looks, some people may think it is ugly, but I personally think it is beautiful. The blade came very sharp, although the tip seems like it could be sharper. I was surprised at how pointy and thin the tip was..it is REALLY pointy.

My ONLY complaint about the Dodo is the clip. It seems really hard to clip onto my pocket, and I'm afraid if I bend it, the screw will shear off (I've heard people say this has happened to theirs.)

All in all, the Dodo is a great knife which will make an excellent companion to my Ocelot. Great grip, awesome blade shape, and cool looks make it a sweet little knife. The lock looks really good as well. I took some pictures of it, but my camera dock went missing, so I'll upload them later.

Congrats.

The thing I like about the Dodo's clip is that I can clip it to my shirt front (by a button hole) and it will stay put.

Weight has somethin' to do with this carry availability, but I think the clip contributes a bit as well.

Pocket, smocket, this carry is very convenient for many tasks IMO.

Ok, here are the pics.

I think the PE Blue Dodo is really good looking. The other models (SE Blue, and both Blacks) don't look as good to me.

The Dodo feels great in-hand. I think it is one of the smoothest opening knives out there.

While the BB lock may be very smooth to open, I find it very clunky to close. I prefer the Axis lock overall because it is easier to close, even though the BB lock is far smoother.

Have you found that the BB gets easier to unlock after some practice? I have only handled Dodos, D'Allaras, and Poliwogs in stores.

Yeah, it does get easier to unlock. You just have to hold it the right way, and pinch it the right way between your thumb and finger. I found it very tricky for the first 15 minutes or so, but after that I began to unlock it just fine. What I love about my Dodo is that it has such secure lockup with ZERO bladeplay, and at the same time is as smooth as glass.

So it is not as easy to close as frame-locks and Axis/ARC locks?

I don't see where you're getting framelocks from, but I think axis locks close easier because instead of being recessed, they stick out. That said, I still have much more trust in the security of the ball lock for some reason. Not only is it hard to accidentally unlock, the simple sphere structure seems impossible to break. That, and the ball slides much farther over the tang than an axis bar does.
