For anyone interested in seeing the smooth action of Spyderco's, I thought I would share a couple of demo clips... My current two piece Spyderco collection is growing (got 4 more making their way to my house :D ).

Looks good, you make me want to get the Dodo even more.

Is opening the Dodo like that hard on the lock?

Can you please do a clip of flicking it open and closed like how you would an Axis lock?

The Dodo seems as solid as a rock, so I don't believe my flick opening technique is causing any damage. So far I've had it for 3 months and the thing is as good as new (or even better - smoothed out a bit more over time)...

Unfortunately my folding knife knowledge is very limited for now... How exactly does one normally open an Axis lock...? I'll see if I can find out about the design of an axis lock and figure out how it works before I can make a clip of the open/close demo...

Holding the handle horizontal, pull back the BB with your thumb and forefinger. Give a little down/up wrist action and when you let go the BB at the right time, the blade should be locked open.

Someone else can explain it better... :)

Oh, Axis locks are ment to be opened with the thumb studs, kind of like how you opened your Spydies slowly. You're not actually supposed to flick/flip your knives open (could be considered abuse).
