Dodo opened in pocket

Any one ever had this problem? I normally carry my dodo on the lower part of my front pocket. Tonight I wasnt paying attention and I clipped it to the upper part of my pocket (probably thinking that I was carrying a differnent knife). Later I was putting my hand in my pocket and felt something poke me. I saw that my dodo was partially open. Uh-oh thats not good.., so I think just with a large section of the blade exposed plus the opening hole can sometimes cause accidental opening when reaching for keys or something. Gotta remember to clip in the right place from now on.

I'm glade you didn't get cut. Always carry a tip-up knife in the back of your front pocket, against the seam. This way, if the blade opens ... it won't.

Plus, it's also the proper position for wave opening, should you desire to do that.

I carry a dodo every day, haven't had that problem, but i always make sure it's on the rear most edge of my front pocket. With the tight wire clip, it usually doesn't move around a lot on me, at least not so far. Good luck.

That is a possible problem with tip-up knives.

I carried a Dodo regularly for a few months and didn't have such an occurance.

It is a good idea to include pivot tightening in your regular maintenance procedures.
