Does anyone know where I can get a t-6 screw that will fit the orange Dodo? I called Spyderco, and they said they don't have any of the screws. They said to call back in a few weeks, but I don't see why they would restock screws for a discontinued knife. All I was trying to do was put loctite on the screws, and the one that stripped appeared to have red loctite on it when I finally removed it. All the other acres were blue, and had no problems coming out. Does anyone know where I can buy a screw, or does anyone have an extra laying around somewhere? I just want my knife to be perfect again. :(

Thanks!

you can try KNIFE MAKERS USA.as they have a big stock of any size torx screws you need plus the t-6 you need would be there to,you may need to order a little more then you would need! i think they come in the doz. but there cheap, i have ordered G-10 scales and T8 's from them, vary good place to order from and service is grate to,good luck.

just pick the T-6 and pick the length, say its 2mm or whatever.sound like maybe you should wait the two weeks for spyderco to restock and just order from them.

T6 is just the size of torx driver that fits and is independent of actual screw size. There's a good chance they're 2-56 but that may not be the case.
Ace hardware has a decent selection of small screws. Even though they won't be torx heads you can bring the knife down to check the size.

Thank you sir! I have an ace a couple blocks away. I'll check out what they have tomorrow, and I'll see if they have screws that size. Obviously I could just wait for Spyderco to restock, but there's a chance I could've waited for nothing. I feel like tracking down the screws will be a good learning experience for me. And I'll learn something about how screws are measured, and I'll even have a bunch of extras!

Thanks! I'll let you know how it goes!

No problem. After looking at a picture of the dodo, I'd guess it's probably larger than 2-56 actually. That's often the size of their standard clip screws. Shouldn't be hard to figure out though. Good luck!

Is 2-56 the diameter of the screw head? If so, both the standard clip screw and the Dodos body screws are the same. I could be completely off, but I figured that meant the screw head diameter. :)

Should tell you way more than you ever wanted to know about screws.

Thanks! I did some research, and I ended up buying 2-56 3/16in screws. They'll be coming in the mail, so I can't test the fit right now. I measured the screw, and it was 3/16 long, and the threads are the same as the standard clip screw(used my Delica clip screw to test this). I think I made the right choice. Does that sound correct?
