thinkin about settling for a BM-E but don't want to give up any advantages

Some SHBMs are thicker than .250.

My suggestion would be to find some one within a reasonable driving distance and feel the knives for your self before you commit.

Also, Easier/Cheaper to buy what is in season recently.

Just a thought.

Not many, from what I've gathered.

I'll measure mine, I think they are .260 min. without finish.

i hate to sound very uneducated, but what do you mean by in season?

In season means whatever is currently available, or recently available, from Busse Combat or the Busse Company Store. For example - a SHBM is going to command a higher price just because it hasn't been available for quite awhile and pickings are slim due to hogs like Randucci hording them all and defacing them :D . A Busse Hell Razor, on the other hand, just recently was available at the Busse Company Store and still sells quickly on the secondary market (such as on the "for sale" forum of this site) but does not command a huge 'markup' yet. They regularly sell for more than retail, but not ridiculously priced...The BM-E's show up here now and then (I sold three in the last two days to help fund a new car) and they went for around $600 each in excellent to Mint.

The Busse Combat site has no knives currently available, but keep watching - anyday hopefully there will be a new one available.

The Busse Company Store has the AK-47 sword, and a few other odds and ends...

so 675 is reasonable for a mint BM-E?

Reasonable is an ambiguous term when it comes to knives, especially Busse. You never know when the next one will pop up, so if you see one you like and the price doesn't seem way outside of what YOU think is reasonable, you just gotta do it! I'd say you'd definitely want to make sure it comes with a sheath! Just my opinion.

O.K., the thicknesses of the SHBMs I have left are:

.277 (double cut finish) Extravaganza SHBM
.271 (with smooth black coating) 1 of 300 SHBM
.253 (double cut finish) Flying SHBM
.270 (with black crinkle paint) triple grind BM-E
.252 (satin finish) Aftershock Bolo (basically a BM-E custom)

Won't be long until they are all turned into SHSHs....:D Oh the agony....;)

if the web site would just come back up so i could see whats next this wouldn't be such a difficult decision to make. i really want that FBM... so does everyone else i imagine though.

you Busse fans seem to be a somewhat patient group...is this something i should get used to?

hey idahoskunk, i noticed on the Bad mojo picture gallery that you got a couple BM's and BM-E's wanna get rid of one?

Absolutely - it also helps to check every knife for sale forum you know, as often as you can, and have a quick trigger finger when you find a deal - and when you do, you better be quick. The smart money is saying that the FBM is coming next, you know...
