Now this maybe a little over the top but i found myself looking online for a folding knife that i can carry for St. Patrick's Day again i apologize..... I have the green hat a cool clover and skull shirt the beer goggles,im ready to go so im thinking what knife do i put in my pocket ?? I was looking for something that was nice not tacky or a toy (cheep) something i would be proud to pull out and show the old timers down at the Irish center...but i haven't had much LUCK..All's i have that has green on it is..a Benchmade 755 (green g10) and a few Esee venom green fix blades and im not taking those..so does anybody have any cool suggestions.....Thanks

Green Spyderco Endura, or if you want a traditional knife check out the Case Green Stockman. Both are great blades, and I don't think you're weird at all.

I think it's a cool idea, any excuse for a new knife is great.

There are several Case knives with green bone handles that are nice, and should be legal almost everywhere. SAKs are also available with green handles and there are also some models with clovers.

More "modern" options would be a green G-10 Spyderco Dragonfly, Spyderco Delica or Endura, green handled ZT 0300, OD handle BM Mini-Griptilian, BM Siebert MPR, Cold Steel Mini Tuff Lite, some Emersons, Al Mar Mini Sere, Hogue EX02 and so on.

The Spyderco Dragonfly, Delica, and Endura all come available in green with the ZDP-189 blade. Something to consider.

If you're looking to impress the old timers, I would go with a traditional like a green bone Case.

The green Benchmade 940 would be a great knife to get for your special occasion. It is a great knife.

Any reason is a good reason for a new knife.

It's the SECOND THURSDAY IN MARCH!!!!!

New knife.

Good luck on your hunt :)

Maybe instead of getting a new knife, fancy up one of the ones you have? Order some custom scales in green from one of the makers here on Bladeforums. Matt at BellaBlades does great work.

Steve,
With St. Patricks Day on Monday, I wish you GOOD LUCK on your quest. I think you have a cool idea to find an appropriate knife.
Check out Great Eastern Cutlery. I know that they made a St. Patty's Day version of the Esquire.
It is a small but neat knife, I liked it so much I bought three different colors and one for my Wife.
It fits in the watch pocket perfectly. G.E.C. might have other green folders that might also be a good choice.
If you are ever in Titusville, Pa, take a tour of the factory, ( short version 20 minutes, long version 50-60 minutes ).
If you like folders You WON'T be dissapointed with G.E.C.
Case in Bradford, Pa is also a GREAT CHOICE, and has a WONDERFUL showroom and museum.
Zippo Lighter and Case are in the same building so it is twice as fun.
One good roadtrip in the future would take in both of these knifemakers along with some beef on weck in Bradford.

Tim.......Thank you very much i think that would be a FANTASTIC idea...I was just talking to my son the other day about Hershey Park..Hmmmm i see a road trip in my future !!!

Steve,
You may want to take a chance on the Give Away in the " Traditional Folder and Fix Blades "
The thread is " Your ONE favorite TRADITIONAL of ALL time - GAW "
The folder being given away is the G.E.C. with St. Patty's scales.
If you enter, remember your entry has to be a "traditional" knife.

Kershaw Blur in the green aluminum handle limited edition, either tanto or reg style blade. I think it may come partially serrated also. It is sweet. I've got one.

It is always fun to have a knife for a special occasion. Any green or gold knife would work. The right shade of green or gold though is key. For production, green Benchmade or Spyderco knives. A custom anodized Ti framelock would be cool.

Its only weird if it doesnt work!

Get a digi camo PM2. its green and you support the troops. Win MF Win!

Crap, second Thursday in march, gotta steal my wife's CC and order something ASAP!!!

St. Patrick's Day is March 17th on Monday.
If You want to get an early start it is o.k also.

I think it's a good idea. I carry a Stars and Stripes knife on the 4th of July.

Would it be OK to whip out my Strider SMF with green scales in a restaurant to cut up my boiled dinner?

I don't think it's weird at all, I have a Spyderco Navaja that I carry when I dress formal to go to special events or on fancy dinner dates lol

I would buy a cheap Opinel, carve a cool shamrock in the handle , paint or dye it whatever color green I thought was cool and proceed to St. Patty's day.

After that I'd sand it into more of an egg shape, rainbow tie-die it and hit the Easter Parade. Next would be carving the handle into a burst pattern in red, white and blue for 4th of July....Labor Day would be a creative possibility...

By the time Christmas came I'd have a red and green slim folder with a reindeer carving that would finally carry well in my pocket.

NO a special occasion knife doesn't sound weird !!
