Does Al Polkowski have a website?

Good Evening All-

Tried contacting him on a variety of occasions, but he didn't return three or four telephone calls. He subsequently wouldn't give me the time of day "live" at a knife show. Not trying to provide a one-sided bashing of the guy, but it was peculiar behavior for a businessman.

Typically, I'm into conservative, non-reflective black knives. If you do a search, he makes some sweet-looking knives including some with white faux-ivory scales that are beautiful...I'm talking like knock yer' socks off beautiful. Good luck with your purchase.

Very strange. Al's a good guy. He's come to our NJKCA meetings and even donated one of his knives to raise some money for us.

Esav-

That is encouraging good news. Perhaps he was going through some troubling times back around 2000. If I'm ever in the market for a Polkowski blade, I'll let y'all know how it turns out. Thanks.

A Zone, email me for Al's email address.
He's a good guy.
Blue Jays, Al doesnt need me making excuses for him but I will say he's had a back back for quite awhile and he's been putting off getting it operated on. I think sitting around at shows is sometimes a painful experience for him.

He's the number one maker on the planet of tactical fixed blades, IMHO, and an exceptional gentleman.

Al will be getting into doing folders in a big way, so he says. I look forward to what he comes up with, as his fixed blades are very much in demand. I find Al a very good guy and he can tell quite funny stories when we gets going.

I love Al's knives. Les Robertson is usually a good source.
The Scorpion and the CQ are especially outstanding.

Lifter4Him & Boink-

Based on your narratives, I may have caught Al Polkowski during a bad six-month chapter of his life. Thanks for the feedback. Should I decide upon one of his knives in the future, I'll keep my fingers crossed for a better experience.

My original intent had been to wait to see what Busse Combat was going to offer for a folding knife, but that will likely become a two to three year project. Looking forward to seeing what Al does with a folder according to Boink's post.

The Nuclear Folder is Jerry's little joke on all his Infinatics - Busse fans like me. I've been on the waiting list since dinosaurs walked the earth. And the waiting list is as mythical as the folder. Don't hold your breath.
A Polkowski folder would be interesting. I've only seen one. If you really like the Kaspar fighters, and if Al's folders take too long to come out, look at Crawford's Kaspars which are also outstanding.
Busse folder, Polkowski folder.... you've got good taste, an an eye for rarities ;)

A little OT here, but I don't think the Busse folder will be that far off for 2 good reasons. 1st People HAVE seen and handled the protos. A friend got to at the last Blade West. 2nd and even more compelling is the Swamp Rat folder that is coming out. That means that the equipment and machinery for making folders is in place and since it has to be paid for I think the wait will be a short one. I hope so anyway.
