I am looking for a Cold Steel AD10 in Magnacut Steel. This will be my grail knife so to speak. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find any in the usual online retail outlets that I shop. I was able to find a Cold Steel Recon 1 in Magnacut Steel, but not the AD10 because it's sold out. If anyone has any information on this, I would like to know.

There is no AD10 in magnacut only the recon 1 right now,but theres a limited AD10 coming with ti handles and 3v blade...........
Man, I thought they were coming out with a bunch of different models in Magnacut. Thanks.

I still don't understand "Magnacut Madness " !

You can buy an AD10 in S35VN , much more reasonably priced , and probably never know the difference, in performance , for

most normal use .

Or, an AD10 Lite , even way cheaper , that will function pretty near the same . ☺️

I don’t really understand it either. I’ve tried it from several different makers and I think it’s a fine steel. It is supposed to have the best balance of properties, so, I can understand the appeal if you are chasing that dragon. But I don’t think that most people will be able to tell much, if any, difference in use.

I was never really into it,

Despite that, I'm completely OVER it.

*I'll be happy to see Spartan offering some of their folders in S45VN again.
LOL . But, I'm not trying to disrespect Magnacut here . It appears to be a fine , well balanced steel .

I just don't think it's worth the price differential , I see thus far . For most common use .

Eventually , I hope it will be adopted more widely , and prices will become mainstream .

I completely respect that.

...and with that, I'm OVER it.

Yup im sick of it too : boobtube helps fuel it too; they make it out like everything else is obsolete now….

this is how the hottest newest bestest steel is always treated by youtubers and excited fans. anyone remember how s30v and 20cv and a list of others that goes on and on.......were talked about........

I ve come to realize that for almost all uses, my knife steel makes very little difference.

I don t even mind the discoloration on my non stainless blades.

This Magnacut madness is marketing, which many knife companies use to drive sales. I used to be very susceptible to this marketing, as my 100+ knife collection will verify.

Live and learn.

Magnacut is an excellent steel and a remarkable achievement by Larrin Larrin . Don't confuse the message with the messenger. Knife companies will exploit anything new to drive sales and jack up prices in the process. They are the messengers here. I remember Larrin saying that it should cost no more than any other PM steel, but all the knife manufacturers heard was the cha-ching of extra profits.

Also, Magnacut is never going to wow the "muh vandiums" crowd who are always quite vocal.

Yeah, I find myself falling victim to all the MC and other super steel hype but at the end of the day, most of my knives are for collecting and the ones I do use a lot mostly open Amazon packages, LOL! I am just not a hard user by any means! It's kinda like the aR15 scene...there are some people that need a $3000 AR but it sure ain't me! I enjoy my $500 ones just fine!
