I loved the idea of the handle being lighter bringing the balance forward but I haven't seen any model with it other than TG...

Has there been any other model with the LB treatment?

ASHBM can be considered an LB model, although it has holes in the handle instead of the milled I-beam construction of the TGLB.

Aaahhh, no wonder the ashbm feels so nifty in hand at .32.....and I am assuming you mean holes other than tube holes...right?

Wasn't it done on the Sarge 7 as well? Pretty sure it was.
.

I believe the SARGE-7 is just skeletonized, not I-beam style LB treatment. I *think* this is a pic of a SARGE-7 tang.

iirc, Jerry also mentioned the SHE-2 had lightening holes in the tang. I'm curious what other models may have this, but haven't seen much info on it.

I am surprised we haven't seen more of the "Light Brigade" treatment though.

No wonder the SHE2 feels so great in the hand!!!!
Things are coming together guys...this is great insight. I just knew there was something special/different in how big these knives are relatively speaking and their feel in hand...now I doubly regret selling my beautiful sage clip SHE2

I knew I came to the right place to ask! Thanks chaps ;)

The handles are just getting better and better. The more recent models are extremely ergonomic for one and with lighter tangs its likely to have a nimble balance too. I'm really looking forward to the new lineups.

I've always wanted to see an Ashbm without the scales. Unfortunately no one has ever produced a picture as far as I know.
