Does anybody make a 1095 folder?

yes, case's made today "cv" is a 1095 steel confirmed by them. gec does them, the city line of queens does them. the traditional style knives aren't so hard to find in 1095. modern one hand openers...slim pickin's. there was a post back awhile ago and not many choices came up that didn't fit into traditionals. i can't remember the choices most were semi-custom or custom makings, not production knives though. a search should yield you this thread.

The Colonial Military Paratrooper Rescue Knife has 1095 blades. I think Cold Steel made classic slip-joints in it also.

Ray Laconico from the Custom Makers Forum makes them in 01 and I think on ocassion he uses 1095. Ron Flarehty also, but he doesn't seem to make many as of late. He uses Bose ht on A2. keepem sharp

I'm hoping to find a one-hand-opening folder in 1095. Actually doesn't have to be specifically 1095, just a good high carbon steel. I have a Svord Peasant knife on the way but I'd prefer something that truly locks.

If the Svord Peasant isn't 1095, then I should think it darn close.

Not 1095 specifically but Opinels, Mercator, and the Douk Douk folders are all made of good carbon steel as well.

The Peasant is L6. For the purpose of a designated slicer, it's nicer than 1095-takes a much nicer slicing edge and has longer edge retention in my experience.

Chuck Gedraitis makes a variety of very nice custom knives from 1095.

If you're looking for a production one-handed opener, check out the Moore Maker Roper Steel Clip knife. 1095

I think there was a custom/semi-custom company called ( if I'm correct ) sniper blade works that made a few modern style folders in 1095

Moore Maker's high end knives are made by Queen, and they are 1095. I also believe that Bulldog makes their knives out of 1095.

Queen makes a line of knives out of D2, and they also make Schatt and Morgan out of ATS 34.
