Does anybody not own a non-traditional folder?

I often carry just a traditional. I find a 15 with a screwdriver is all I need. Sometimes I carry a modern "tactical" framelock as well, (usually a hinderer spanto 3.5 or burch v2 midtech, occasionally a spyderco or Rassenti) but I find that for my daily activities these are unnecessary. Just enjoy playing with them and looking at them. If I go camping/hiking/hunting/foraging I always have a 3" or bigger fixed on me (usually a FBF or a small Krein) and those get used more often in those scenarios. I would certainly survive if I could only carry a slippy with something that could open bottles:)

Let's keep the discussion to TRADITIONAL KNIVES, please. If it drifts too far and starts getting specific about non-traditional knives, it'll get moved to General.

Don't own a single "modern" folder. I'm happy with my traditionals and the history that comes with them!

I started off in the modern and had maybe a dozen. I never really enjoyed them and sold all but one. I kept the Spyderco Native as a personal defense carry along side a Springfield XD. In a personal combat situation the Native is there. However, I, like the post above, love the history of a traditional. There even seems to a sense of romance to carrying a good barlow, stockman, a trapper, etc. My old southern roots have a traditional heart and soul.

I always carry a modern folder and a traditional every day. I find myself using just the traditional slippy's for everything, the modern folder is there just in case I need a knife with a lock or I only have one hand free.

I was always about the latest and greatest tactical folders, but recently I had a re-birth and am completely traditional now.

I sold off all my custom folders and placed several orders with traditional makers.

I just got an amazing Saddlehorn Trapper from Ken Coats that blows my mind.

Can't believe what I have been missing :)

most moderns are illegal to carry where I live. Traditionals, with their thin slicing blades and smaller size are really more practical for my EDC needs anyway, so I only carry traditionals.

I'm about 50/50. I only carry one knife at a time, and the days I pick a modern folder I find myself missing my traditional half way through the day. I just don't have a need for anything more that a peanut or stockman. I jus. Got a ZT350 in a trade, and even though I've been wanting to try one for a while now, as soon as I got it I thought to myself, what do I need something this big/heavy duty for? It's already in the For Trade sub forum.

I have more nontraditional knives than traditional, but nothing gets me more excited than my traditional knives. In the last few months I have been bit hard by the traditional bug.
I recently found myself selling some nontraditional knives to fund more traditional knives! :D

Not so old, but mostly traditionals only. They generally have more "soul" than the modern ones, IMO. It´s hard to explain but that is it. :)

I've got a few non-trad folders in a box somewhere. Same place they've been sitting for years.

I find that a quality slipjoint does everything I need a pocket knife to do. If more than that is required, it's time to grab a fixed blade.

I don't. Unless you want to call an EKA 38 or EKa 8 non traditional because they use screw instead of pins.

I have a few MOHOs but I mostly use traditional folders. Some of those MOHOs are slip joints too though. I got one recently that is full flat ground and thin.

I own both, but only carry traditionals on a regular basis. Moderns get used/carried only 8-10 times a year.

I still have a few modern folders.

I almost exclusively carry and use traditional slipjoints.
