Does anybody own a 2002 Case/Bose collaboration pruner (gardener)?

If so, could I trouble you for some pics- in hand and maybe a comparison pic with some other knives?

It sure is an attractive design, I just can't gauge the size from pics that I've seen.

Thanks.

That's a quality knife and well worth the money they are going for, at least the after market prices.

Maybe MT Damascus will chime in, he has some nice high end knives and is very knowledgeable with great photos.

Regards,

Mark

I had one for a short time, it wasn't a particularly comfortable knife for tasks other than as a pruner. Otherwise it was the typical high quality of the collaborations.

i would love to see a pic of all of the collaborations together to date. I'm guessing Elliot or Gus would be the only ones to have that?

It's on the small size, especially for pruners. The blade and handle are thinner. It fits the hand well. I don't have one but lust for one. They were originally not popular and dropped in price to $100, but now I have money you can't seem to find one for less than $300. I tried to get one even at the price, but the dealer wouldn't deal and wasn't nice when I asked, so I kept my money. I wish I had bought at $100, but I only had money for one knife and got a Yukon Jack Bose collaboration for $100 instead. :)

Somebody was selling an entire C/B collection on the for sale thread recently. He included pictures.

I have 2 of them.

I'll try to get pics with the other ones I have in the next day or 2 if I can make time. I believe I still have 2 of these, 2 Yukon's, a 1999 Slimline Trapper, & a 2000 Millenium Trapper. Really pretty grind on the ATS34 blades. Nicest Case knives I have ever seen/owned.

I agree that it is on the smaller side for a pruner, but it is a fine knife for sure.

That is an inexpensive Japanese pruner that I believe I got from AGR some time back. aus8, brass liners, more of a hawkbill than a swayback (proper name for the Case/Bose blade type?). it's marked Melitta, a company that seems to make coffee makers and not knives. its of fine quality, but not in the same realm as the Bose collab, of course.

mmmm, coffee.

I thought it looked familiar, I have one with ivory micarta handles and red spacer.
Very nice knives for what they are.

I missed the rebirth of this thread until now, thanks for the pics guys, it sure is a handsome knife and I'm sure it excels at what it was designed to do.
