Hi All,
Does anyone actually use wood-seb?
I mean hard normal uuse like anyother knife?

I was looking at them now. I feel that they are too fine and too polished if u know what I mean.

They will scrach easy compared to the regular finish.
Even sharpening one would give me a minor heart attack.

I use large LE 2003 redwood sebenza almost every day. It still looks great, the only scratches and wear showing are on the pocket clip. The polished surfaces of the TI do not show wear nearly as much as the unpolished/blasted IT.

I used my large woody Classics with no problems. The wood held up just fine with no chipping, scratching, or seperating at all. I once carried a 2002 LE ironwood for a year with no problem. Chris builds these tough and usable!

I bought a 2003 redwood LE used. The scales are a little dull. I use it for whatever, carry it in my pocket with my keys and change.

I know how you feel about that, brother. If you love the knife, use it. Great thing about CRK is that they can make a used knife look new again, then you can start all over. And you won't wait long while the refurb work gets done. The action on this knfe is very gratifying - you'll soon be on the lookout for chores to do with it.

I have my Bacote classic in my pocket right now.
I just worked up a trade for a large bloodwood classic, can't wait.

I had a large bloodwood Classic at one time.....................very sweet knife!! :D :D

I have a computer graphic design for EDC. I don't abuse it but I am definately using it for whatever I need to cut. I figure that I bought the best folder to use and therefore ENJOY using it. Sorry, I know the question was about wood inlayed Sebs but I figure the graphics plays a role in the "purtier knives" and their use.

Your comments fit in perfectly. I would be inclined to be a little more careful with the custom computer graphic than the wood inlays (if I had one) but I think a lot of us have the same attitude - "I figure that I bought the best folder to use and therefore ENJOY using it."

Think of it this way. All Mnandis come with Inlays, with most being made of wood and have highly polished blades. Those of us who prefer the Mnandi use them quite regularly for all sorts of normal cutting chores without hesitation. There's nothing wrong with turning a CRK knife into a "safe queen" but there is nothing that says you can't beat the snot out of one if you choose. :D ;)
