Does anyone believe in fate?

I've been looking to buy a Sebenza 21 for a few months now , I even sold a bunch of knives to fund this mission.

So this past weekend I went to a local gun and knife show.

After looking through table after table of junk and over priced production knives, I found a vendor who was selling Microtech's, some customs and CRK's.

He had one Seb , so I ask the guy if the Seb was new and how much. He tells me yes it's new and it's $365.00.

I see he has a Visa sign up so I say ok I'll take it, if you'll take my CC. He tells me he's going to charge me 3% if I use my card ( plus sales tax). I told him I'll take it if he knocks off the CC fee. He won't budge and neither will I, it's a pet peeve of mine. So he loses a sale for $11....

I thought about that knife the rest of the day and was even considering going back.

Later that night I see a listing on the forum for a brand new Seb 21 for $365.00. I waited until the next morning and saw it was still unsold.
I realized it must have be fate so I bought it and got it yesterday ... thanks Johnny!

Here's a quick picture I took.

I know this is going to sound weird , but compared to other titanium knives ( including my Umnumzaan) , does the type of beed blasting used on the Seb give it a warmer feeling in the hand? or maybe it just fits the hand better? I can't explain it.

I don't believe in fate - don't tell my wife - but congratulations regardless. It's a great knife and you're going to really enjoy it.

Where I am most merchant agreements will specifically prohibit charging more for credit card transactions or giving the equivalent cash discounts. (For that matter, so does PayPal.)

Yeah , I don't know if I believe in fate either, but I used that as a mental excuse to buy the knife. :)

That's awesome, great that you got it for the price you wanted and good on you for walking away from the initial deal.

My will power isn't as strong:D

I almost caved in , I was even considering going back ( my hand was stamped to get back in).
It worked out, the knife I got it perfect and I always liked the design of the Sebenza.

A few years ago I bought an Umnumzaan over a Seb, the choice almost came down to a coin toss.
My wife picked the Umnumzaan because it was quiet when it locked open.
