Does anyone EDC a damascus sebbie

I really want a large damascus seb with ebony inlays. However, I don't keep knives that I do bot -want- to use. Does anyone use their damasus sebbie for light to moderate tasks. I'm mostly curious about cutting fruits.

Also, is the damascus textured? Is the acid etched portion fairly rough? Or is the entire blade smooth?
