Does anyone else do this?

Uhm. I have found that I am selling my entire collection of Bucks, Gerbers, Schrades, and some assorted Taiwanese made stuff (not shameless Emerson clones or anything like that) to get one Benchmade knife.

Does anyone else sell large amounts of their knives just to get one higher quality one? And how much off the price you got it for do you take off? Just wondering.

Mr Chang:
A couple of months ago I sold all of my Microtech's 6 to be exact to buy 2 custom folders.

Well, I tried unsucessfully to sell off all of my United Hibbens. If the knifes are new, what I do is get the going price from several dealers on the net. Then, I'll throw 5 or 10 bucks off that price and include shipping. If there used, you'll have to decide how used they are, and go down from there. Check out the marketplace for individual pricing. Do your homework!!! it will pay off!!

BTW what do mean you'll be an Asian satelite soon? Is someone so unhappy with your janitorial skills that they are going to throw you into orbit?

Hey, Chang!!, why not try for some kind of trade rather than sell and then buy. You'll lose A LOT MORE MONEY IF YOU DO IT THAT WAY. I think most of us folks are more reluctant to give up cash than to trade knives. Trust me on this. I've done it several times. You will get much better deals if you trade. Although, you might have to trade 2 or 3 or 4 of those for one BM
good luck, Comrade.

...No they are pretty beaten up. I can't sell them for over half of the discount price I bought them at. It's mostly just the fact that the finish looks almost as bad as my Changade Sebenza. I sell to people who aren't really into knives so they can't really trade. I'm hoping to get them hooked on knives. They are all useable knives though, just look a little deformed. But I can't sell them for much and remain an honest person.

Ed, I want to be an Asian Satellite because ever since I was six I wanted to be an astronaut. Now I don't want to. I just want to be a satellite now. Actually I wanted to be a pilot up until the point I realized my vision wasn't all that great (not super bad, but not good). I could be an Asian Helicoptor though.

Or I could be a restaurant manager and call myself the Asian Teriyaki Stir-Fried Chinese Cheeto Burger.
