does anyone else out there concealed carry their knives here and there, such as when around non knife people? how do you do it? are there any legal issues to worry about in that regard? thanks.

I always have multiple knives on me no matter where i go, if i'm around non knife people i just keep them in my pockets or my bag. As for legal issues i don't know either way, i will still carry my knives regardless of any laws, but that's just me, but i'm not recommending you break the law if there is one in your area.

Concealment, like what kind of knife you want to carry, depends on the local laws of your jurisdiction. If you are concerned for this reason, you will need to check with your locality.

As it is legal to carry any length folder (although no automatics) where I am, I don't bother to hide what I carry. I am also not paranoid and don't reveal that I am carrying anything through nervous behavior.

I apparently have to.
Heard that only cops, military and security personnel are allowed to carry exposed weapons in SA

Not 100% sure but rather safe than sorry.

Also I use my knife for sound cable work at church now and then so hide to avoid alarming people

I do not take any special precautions to hide any knife or knives I am carrying. I usually carry one folder in my front pocket and a small fixed blade on my belt. But then again I live in Texas and things are different here.

Texas law restricts us from carrying any knife with a blade length greater than 5.5" as well as switch blades etc.

When I go on holidays abroad (no flying) I always carry concealed. Some European countries don't allow knife carry, others are just too obtuse to risk carrying openly. I have an alternative method of carrying for countries where I know I'm not allowed, or where I'm not sure off the rules. But I will carry.

Pocket-clip carry. Up to, and including 4" Military (Spyderco). I use a knife all of the time.
And...non-knife people always need something to be cut. Make 'em a convert.

If you'd like to keep your knife concealed but available you can carry your knife in a pocket spare magazine holder.

It will keep your knife from getting lost in the bottom of your pocket and you'll be able to get to it quick.

It will also keep anyone from knowing you're carrying a knife by seeing the pocket clip.

I don't care if people see my knives or not. Everyone seems to have a knife clipped in their pockets around here. I only try to conceal my firearms. Although in FL you CAN open carry a firearm in certain situations. Not to get off topic.

I would never hide my knife from anyone. As far as I'm concerned grown men are supposed to carry a knife @ all times. If someone is offended by my knife or doesn't get why I would carry a knife then screw 'em.

I regularly carry a large fixed blade (Kabar USMC sized). Always open carry because it is illegal to conceal a fixed blade here.

Pull it up off the pocket cuff, drop it in the pocket.

If I have to go past a metal detector (courthouse), leave it in the car.

Just were a shirt that says I am carrying a knife that way you can have the knife were ever you want. This is not true.

I conceal my Izula IWB. My folders are clipped to the pocket, semi exposed. Not sure if that's considered open carry or not. But it doesn't matter for me, here in Florida open carry of any knife Is legal. And my license covers me for concealed carry if I want to.

Here it's pretty much mandatory to conceal your knife when in public unless you have a construction worker outfit. A lot of people think that carrying knives is completely illegal here (it isn't) and are easily freaked out. The law doesn't mention concealed carry, so it doesn't matter in that sense. I carry a small folder in my watch pocket, front pocket (not clipped) and/or bag (sometimes I have a small fixed blade in the bag).

Made me think of this :) : "And by true, I mean false. It's all lies. But they're entertaining lies. And in the end, isn't that the real truth? The answer is: No."

Don't have to worry about it where I live. Usually carry pocket knives but sometimes a fixed blade. Just have to anticipate the stares or questioning eyes and be prepared for people to look at you funny. If you don't mind, it won't matter though.

I carry a knife almost every day, no matter where I go. That being said, it's usually the very small SOG Twitch 2 or my Spyderco Delica 4. Very rarely will I carry my Kershaw Skyline. I always carry in my right hand side pocket via pocket-clip; when asked about why I have it, I tell them the truth; it's for basic utility tasks or work, and I DO use my knife at work every day, every chance I get. This is usually enough to put whoever is asking at ease, including cops [once I was asked about my Twitch 2 in particular, the cop actually had one of his own on him at the time. We talked blades for a good bit afterwards, lol]. I don't tend to have any problems with people when I do use my knife in a 'modest' way.

The laws here are stupid.. You're not even safe if you're a construction worker.

When I'm in public I always conceal my knife/knives. Nobody can stop me from carrying a tool..
