After putting my newish Condor Bushlore through it's
paces, I feel like it is a good buddy when I carry it around
the farm. Does anyone else get that feeling?

Well, considering I have real friends, my knives don't give me that feeling.
:D

I think I know what you mean Sir Housecat. Yeah, not that I ever thought of it like that before, but now that you bring it up, I'd have to say that there is a relationship existing there to a degree.

I talk to my knives, They're good listeners. They never interrupt me.
But sometimes they bite me.

Now that's funny!
I love my knives, they are tools/ friends that speak to you when you use them!
I gotta lotta friends.

My dad got a couple of high carbon puukko style blades a couple years ago that we built stacked birch handles from some bark he gathered. It was a cool process and the end result was a very comfortable, very useful utility knife. It's pretty sentimental and was a cool project. I'll always dig that knife.

I get that extremley annoying thought in the back of my head like i'm forgetting something, but can't remember, when I'm not carrying my knife or knives. A few hours later I smack myself in the head when I remember I forgot my knife. Kind of like when someone forgets to walk their dog, and feels guilty about it later.
