My OCD has set in once again, as I think I have found my new grail Busse, just got this one in yesterday...

This new guy with the maple scales is VERY nice. I didn't expect to like it so much, but I think Garth and the crew did this one right. The handle scales are perfect, somewhere between standard and magnum, just right. The original SK has a pretty small handle overall, this one is just a hair bigger and perfect. The maple is gorgeous, especially if you're a pretty-boy and into that sort of thing :cool:

I also really like the fact that I can do a d-guard on this one, I missed that on the originals.

I thought the flat grind would make it less of a chopper, but with the full 1/4" spine running significantly further forward, the balance feels just right. I haven't broken it in yet, but expect it to perform well, and will VERY soon (just waiting to hear the magic words "done deal" from my trade buddy ;)) Call me crazy, but i think i now have 3 SK users...



Most of all, what I love about this new one --- it's INFI :thumbup: :thumbup:

THANKS to the Busse gang for bringing a few of these back from the grave. They make me feel just like a pirate :D

Now to dream up some leather for the new guy...


(btw, this really isn't one of those "i might want to sell" threads, and there's a long line of "first dibs" on the original SKs, so there's no need to PM about it :))

very nice new one with the Maple handle and the talon hole in INFI.

Of course, no one with "dibs" will still want those old flawed ones. Come one, no talon hole, not INFI. I think you should send them my way. I will let you enjoy the new edition, without those other two darkening your honeymoon with the new one.

Oh bro, i forgot to say that the older ones aren't real, just cut-outs... If you look close you can tell they aren;t even really there :D

Of all the Busses someone could collect, I think I like the knife you have chosen the most. And in true Busse fashion, you are hunting those things down HOG style! Very cool!! :cool::thumbup:
 
Well it looks like your persistance paid off, those are really sweet Eli and I am glad you scored .

Please show us pics of the sheath when you get it made, I know you will make something sweet for that bad boy.
