I am very ... underwhelmed.

Tactical badassery? Nope.

Looks like a cheese slicer.

I don't know if you know, but there's an infamous promo video of those knives on Youtube, where they pretty much say that knife is better in every way than conventionally constructed combat knives. Apart from the comic nature of the marketing, I always appreciate when people try to innovate things and I like the idea of the easy sharpening blade, but I have big problems with the skeletonized blade and the thin handle with the finger holes. I'm not gonna argue whether that "explosion bonding" process and alleged uniqueness of that knife does or doesn't justify the price, but it seems pretty steep.

edit: some other people posted while I was writing. :D

Honestly I'm a fan of unnecessary explosions and psudo science. So I can get behind the idea... I really dont like the design of the finished knife though

In the minority here - it's not bad compared to some of the "tactical" stuff I have seen over the years.

It looks well thought out in every way for the purpose the knife is intended.

You can't discount the explosion weld either - at least that is unique.

Olive Oyle notwhithstanding, I have seen much worse - but at $2500, I don't see one verturing into my collection anytime soon.

best
