Long story short.. It was given to me by a relative, don't know where he got it. It would get to about 500 F but needed a little love and after about 4 years I decided to take a closer look at it. I think it is fixable if I can find a source for these replacement elements that it requires.
It was probably made in the 60's or earlier. I can't find any info on the internet about it.
It has four replaceable place elements. They are 10" long, the side elements are 3.25" wide and about .25" thick. The roof and floor elements are 5.25" wide 10" long, etc...It has a swing-arm rheostat looking thing on the bottom to control the temp.
The name on the plate is:
HEVI-DUTY ELECTRIC.
Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Standard 115V outlet
1850 F Max Temp
11.5 Volts
1440 Watts
I have contacted Paragon, as I have a 24" knifemaker furnace. They were not really able to help.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Chris
