Has anyone, besides the collectors, received a Starmate yet? What do you think? As tough as the military? More of a defense knife? I have ordered one and cant hardly stand the wait.

I have one! #313, not a collector, but nice knife. Not as utilitarian as the Military, but nice grinds and a smaller feeling grip than the Military.

I've got mine (part. serr.) and I think it is definite as tough as the military. The blade has the same lenght. It's incredible light for it's size. It is lager than I thought from the pictures.

What are these collectors your talking about? Is it where someone purchaces a serial # under 200 and then has to buy all the knives that are made under that serial #. My dealer was telling me about something like that but I didn't get all the specifics.
