Are you allowed to own this knife in Belgique?
I would look that up if you plan to use / carry a double edged knife.
I lived in Belgium for two years and only carried (by my Dads word) SAK slip joints.

I own Katanas, Wakizashi and a Tanto. I don't know when you lived in Belgium, but I was here from 1997 until 2001. In 2001 I went to Belize for over 3 years, but after I came back in 2004, things have changed a lot!
Before I left, there were no (noticable) Muslims, very few Africans and almost no crime. Since 2004, the African 'refugees', Muslim 'refugees' have rocketed, we also have a lot of very unsavoury characters from the Balkans and crime has shot up. We live way out of town and I'm 73 and my wife is sometimes alone in the house as well.
I don't 'carry' a knife - yet! But I don't plan to sit back and wait until we get a home invasion and meekly die. We are both very fit, we go to the gym 4 days every week and we push HEAVY weights. I'm a Judo Nidan and an Aikido Nidan as well. My wife goes to Aikido classes every week and I have 3 attack trained German Shepherds.
We are peace loving people, but I lived in Africa for 30+ years, so did my wife. We've seen it all and we are like these 'crazy' preppers. My aim is to survive and if I have to die violently, I plan to take a few with me!
