How well does the sheath attach to molle webbing, secure etc?

How does it carry in real life?
Any first hand thoughts on the knife would be greatly appreciated as well.

TIA

the spec ops sheaths work ok and attach to a belt or pack just fine. I don't care much for them personaly so i made a kydex sheath and used a esee molle back and pouch. i like the way they fit alot better.

Interesting - would you be so kind as to point me in the direction of a sheath maker, if possible?
Hot enough in tejas for ya... ;)

BTW, do you use the Pacific much - hows she holding up and is there a better choice for camping, woods use?

If you want kydex it's well worth your while speaking to Kiah, he has a forum here. There are a few other good sheath makers on here too.

I had and used a Pacific for a while. I liked the knife and got good use from it, I like the blade shape on the Pacific alot and the rest of the knife is nice too. There is a "but" though, the serrations really were in the way alot of the time for me. This is what brought me be back to using the Mountaineer 2. That knife has the same blade shape but is a touch shorter, it has no serrations and is made from A2. I personally like the A2 knives over the S30V CRKs but S30V is good stuff and I can't say I've had any problems with it in the fixed blades. I found the SpcOps sheath with the Pacific to be fine for belt carry and can't complain about it at all.

If you want a camping/woods knife I would personally look at knives like the Nyala or even 5.5 GB over the Pacific. I like to carry a shorter fixed blade and a larger knife or axe when in the woods. Obviously everyone has their own way of doing things though. One of the smaller A2 One Piece Knives would be my first choice, but they are now rather hard to find and are going up in price.

Thanks for the heads up on the serrations.
Ive used the Mountaineer, Aviator design crk's for years but the handle design isnt comfortable for extended use imo.
Wanted something a little longer than 3.75" found on the Nyala.... perhaps the GB would be a better fit.

The S30V knives all have serations unfortunately, bar the N. Roberts Knife. If you want to have a larger blade I would actualy take the Pacific over the 7" G.B. my self, I like the blade shape better. That said both would be a good knife to have. :)
