I have been looking at this knife for awhile now. I was just wandering if somebody has one and if so what are your thoughts on it. I like to carry a small knife in my back pocket as a secondary knife. What i want to know is it worth the price? I don't have any ALMAR knives. (YET):D

Al Mar products are good. The SLB is a reliable little knife. It's actually a popular niche, many companies have knives that size. The SLB is bit more elegant than most.

By the way, here's some recent history with BestKnives -- not a great dealer.

Check out the Boker Subcom or Wharcom. Nice AUS8 linerlocks and roughly the same size. <=$30. Great knives. I have both.

Al Mar seem on the pricey side to me for what ya get. Granted, all my exp is on handling them in stores.

Best knives was just a reference photo, but thanks for the heads up.

gazz98, I have a boker subcom and i really enjoy it. I never have handled one. How was the fit and feel in your hand?

The fit n finish of Al Mar seemed very good what from I remember, I just kept thinking to myself "I could get a another knife very similar to this for cheaper ...".

I should point out that I'm a cheap arse. I think my most expensive folder is about $80. Unless I was a soldier or LEO, my EDC tasks do just fine with a Benchmade Mini Grip or Spyderco Delica. I'm one of those people who will never buy Hinderer or Sebbie. Your mileage will vary. Good luck with whatever u choose.

I have one. The blade is wide compared to its length, and I've heard it described as a back-up hunting knife. It is very compact in your pocket. I think you would like it.
