I just ordered the Kulgera 930 yesterday after searching all over for an online retailer that still had it in stock and finally got lucky and found one that did.

After seeing a few pictures of it, and finding out it was discontinued I HAD to jump on it and buy one! It only weights 3oz and has a 3.6' s30v blade, whats not to like?:D

Does anyone here own one or have owned one before? Please do tell!

Best Regards,
Zack

I had three of them. I liked the blade-to-handle ratio, weight, and construction. I didn't like the uncomfortable, slick handles. I was sorely tempted to make or commission some custom scales, but didn't like the knife that much.

For an urban EDC for light utility, it's nice looking and performs well. Congrats on finding one!

That's funny because the only thing people complained about was the handle on the Blade and how it wasnt very comfortable. Also a weird thing about the blade was how the steel liners were sticking out of the handle. Did you notice any issue with that.

Yep, I still have mine. I really love it, I don't really agree with any of the stuff about the handle being uncomfortable, it's fine for me. I wish they weren't $200 though :( I got this one for $100 as part of a warranty replacement from Benchmade.

I did. One of my main EDCs is a 940D2CF, so when the 930 came out, I thought it'd be perfect for me. But I preferred the flatter, thinner handles of the 940, and the bits of the steel liners sticking out (for cosmetic reasons, I assume) dug into my hand uncomfortably. Plus the extra thickness of the handles (which aren't really all that "thick", just thicker than the 940) made the lock less easy to access (I couldn't access the AXIS:rolleyes:).

I ended up selling mine. Great knife to look at. Not as great in the hand.

You know, not to rub anyone the wrong way or anything or needlessly argue... But I simply don't understand how the liners are uncomfortable. Are you gripping it with a lot of pressure, or for extended periods of time or something? I almost didn't buy this knife because I heard the same stuff but took a chance anyway, and I'm really glad I did.

I've used it for some pretty robusts tasks, gripping it quite hard. Never noticed any soreness...

I sold my user Kulgera, still have a nib keeper. Beautiful knife. I switched to a lighter 530 w/blue handle and S30V for around the house carry. Have a nib backup of this model too.

I own two. I probably carried one non-stop than any of my other blades.

The complaints about the handle don't make too much sense as it's not a heavy use knife with its thin blade. The handle really isn't big enough for extended use much less heavy use.

It fills a niche for me - it's the closest thing to a "dress" one hand opener I own. Visually interesting, non-threatening, and the narrow blade is still long enough for most tasks.

A lot is going to depend to the user's hand and the way they grip it. What is comfortable for one, may not be for the other. You will just have to take it in hand to see how it suits you.

I have EDC one for a few months and thought the liner protrusion would bother me as well, I didn't notice it at all and found it very comfortable in my hand as well. It is not a hard use knife, more of a letter opener and food cutter to me and very visually appealing to boot. I sold it b/c I mistakenly ordered the part serrated and no longer fancy serration on my blades. If anyone is interested, Roger at KW has the 930PE prototype listed under discontinued BM and I just pick one up for 145 shipped also scored a mini ruckus 615-1 assisted.
