Does anyone know about Thaiknifesmiths?

I've handled them before and they seem to be okay. The quality seems to drift from good to not so good. Most of their stuff has a mirror finish on the blade which I normally don't like.

Not familiar with this seller, but I've noticed a couple knife makers claiming Thailand as home including this one: http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZcm_knife and this one: http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZunclevit

The quality Looks to be about the same, so are probable decent quality, as far as I can tell from the pictures. They usually always use 440C, although sometimes I see a nice-looking damascus blade.

I'm looking, though... I've made several bids on some pearl knives. There was a beautiful Damascus and Mammoth knife that didn't meet a reserve earlier this week, at $200. A bit steep, but the mammoth ivory was pretty sweet.

I was in Thailand in 2000. I visited a custom knife shop in Chaing mai. There were some nice knives there.
