GOTTAGE CUSTOM KNIVES
St. Clair Sh., Mich.

This is a heavy , beautifully crafted knife with Skinner blade, German Silver Guard and a sheath made by I think "HAND CRAFTED BY TONY SCARSELLA" (sting ray or snake inset sheath)
Heavy Full Tang with approx. 1/4" steel blade thickness. It's really well made and feels great in hand.
I may have bought it from Cutting Edge nearly 20 years ago.
The knife has always appealed to me.
I can only find info on the internet,, - leading to Judy Gottage, also from Michigan.

Someone must know !

Thanks, I would greatly appreciate the info.

I also have knives listed for sale in the custom knife by individuals sectionIMG_7347.JPG IMG_7359.JPG
A JIM SISKA FOLDER, KIT CARSON CUSTOM M16, ETC.

Thank you,
Do you know Ms. Goddage ? or know anyone on this site - have the ability to communicate with her - and ask ?
I'm just not convinced, she has a relative Dante Goddage, near as I can tell,, thanks , I need more.

According to Knives Annual 1990:

Judy Gottage mark: 'Judy Gottage' or 'Judy' on small knives

Dante Gottage mark: 'Gottage Custom Knives'

Judy was full time, Dante was part time. Judy more artsy and interframe folders. Dante was working knives.

I don't know the relationship. Same address.

Looks like you have Dante's work.

Coop is correct. As far as I am aware, they were a couple. Both attended many CKCC shows in the Toronto area in the 80's and later Judy and Chuck Stewart attended shows in Bayfield put on by Wolfe. Last I spoke with Judy was when she helped in the estate work upon the death of knifemaker Chuck Stewart around 20 years ago.

You might find this link of value

while it speaks about Judy, there is a contact link and more info about Dante might be available. Judy is now retired from knifemaking.

Here is another link that would be useful
