Does anyone know anything about the John Rain Movie?

Just wondering if anyone knew when it was comming out or even if they've gotten off the ground with it yet. The guy that produced the LOTR movies is supposed to be producing this movie so it shouldn't be too bad, so long as Barry Eisler ( author of the books) gets to say what goes and what stays.

I didn't know they were planning on a John Rain movie, but if Peter Jackson is involved it might be really good. I' will look forward to seeing that one, if it becomes reality.
