Does anyone know anything about these knives?

Hey everyone! I've been here reading the forums for a while, and thought I'd post a couple of questions.
1.) Anyone have any experience with theWortac Folder from Timberline Knives?
2.) Anyone have any experience with the Ryan Model Seven from CRKT?
3.) I know a lot of people love the Sebenza by Chris Reeve. Can anyone tell me why? I'm not meaning this to be a smart ass question by any means. I've never held one of these knives. Hell, I didn't even know they existed until I came here.
:D
4.) Can anyone recommend a really good, relatively inexpensive sharpening system?

I think that's it. If I think of more, I'll ask!

Do a search on the Sebenza and you will have a couple of days of reading as to why so many people on this forum love this knife. As to the rest of your questions, sorry I don't have any first hand experience with the knives you mentioned and I only use Arkansas stones for sharpening and the finer versions of these stones are anything but inexpensive.

Welcome aboard and have a great holiday season.:)

Hi BryanH,

Run a search in the knife testing/reviews, there's been tons of threads on the knives you mentioned there:).

HTH:D!!!

or me the reason that I will get myself either a sebenza or a mnandi soon is this: the quality and the materials used.

As far as a sharpning system, if you have $50 that you could put towards it, get a sharpmaker by spyderco.

I'll see if I can save you some time with #3.

The Sebenza is everything that all other production and some custom knives alike are not. It is precision through and through, the best of materials, easy to take down made-up of a minimal amount of parts, and it has that glistening drop of Retsyn-TM.

People will sour-grape the Sebenza all day long, saying it's not worth the cost, or it's not three times the knife that a lower-end production folder is... Yes it is, in every way shape and form.

The jury's still out on the 705 vs the small Seb., but my sweaty hands are tellin' me that they like the ti over the stainless/G10 handles as far as cleanup/upkeep...

Search engine will turn up rich content on all your questions.

For sharpening, try these key words in search:
Sharpmaker
Sharpmaker 203
Sharpmaker 204
Lansky
Gatco
Edge Pro
Edgepro
Edgepro Apex
DMT

I use a Lansky most frequently on anything up to 5". I use a Sharpmaker for serrations, but others use for everything.

I also have a couple wheels on a bench grinder...one compressed fiberboard w/ abrasive glued on, the other compressed fiberboard w/ rouge for stropping. Any knife can be done on these, I usually do the big ones... machetes up to 22", knife blades 6" to 12".
