Does anyone know how many gold class 940-121 knives were made?

The title says everything. I have searched for about two hours on many sites including benchmades and can't find it anywhere. I just want to know before I pull the trigger.

There is no set number. Consider it a limited production and not a limited edition.
The gold class grip and the torrent are the same, produced until interest slows or material runs out.
The highest number I saw on a 551bk-101 was 675-700ish.

There was no set number, but there was a max number since they're discontinued.

Latest I saw was in the 700s. I'd be interested in the answer to this, as well.

That's good to know. I thought they were set at a number since the blades are numbered.

I may have my dealer throw one in with my other two knives I just ordered. (That way only one box comes to the door from a knife company, not two or three.) easier to explain that. :)

Unfortunately only one was made, atop Mount Olympus, forged by Zeus himself whom wept with joy when his creation was realized

Mine is #833 produced Feb, 20, 2013... Yes 2013.
I assumed this was a 2012 production knife, but I'm convinced I may have the last one made... I've googled #834 and up and haven't found anything. So at least 833 were made, but there's probably a few more than that out there.
I'm curious myself... so feel free to prove me wrong.

*edit: I just got it today too. So yea, more info for those who are curious.

A direct source from BM told me the last batch was in Feb '13, and I asked "how many we're produced," and that I had #810 and they stopped around there.. So who knows

I actually like having one of the newer ones bc I heard of a few early ones having machining defects, and they eventually worked out the kinks, I picked up four (one for Father's Day), and all of them were *perfect.
