Does anyone know if Mick Langley still makes knives or how to get in touch with him?

Someone had one of his knives for sale that I wanted to purchase, but I put it off for too long and someone else got it.

I absolutely love the knife, so if possible, I'd like to get one made by the original maker. However, I know that the particular knife that was for sale, as well as many of his other knives that I've seen were made in the 2002-2008 time frame, so I don't know if he still does any bladecrafting.

I've searched online and don't see a website for him, although he has a few blades for sale on Arizona Custom Knives and a knife or two for sale on a few obscure sites.

Thanks for any info that anyone can offer.

He was around a few years ago. He was retired from the ABS. His sharperthings.com website is not active either.

You might ask in the Canadian forum about him.

I don't know if Mick is still making. He is still alive so I'll just bet he is and would love to hear from you.
His phone no. is 1-250-752-4261

Thanks Frank.

I found an email address for him -- langleyknives@shaw.ca -- but didn't know if it was current. I tried emailing, but haven't received a reply, so I'm guessing that it might not be.

Might feel somewhat awkward just giving him a call out of the blue, but if that the only way to get in touch with him, then that's probably the way to go.

Do the phone call. I'm sure even if he did say he can't help you, I know he would love to talk with you.

Just a small fact if anyone is interested. Mick was my cub scout leader back in the 70's. He made me one of his very fist knives circa 1979... I still have it. Birdseye maple handle. I should contact him one of these days...

Good evening, Tim. If you look, this thread is almost 5 years old. This is called necroposting, and is generally frowned upon. If you want to refer to an old post, the accepted practice is to make a new thread and link to the older one.
