Does anyone know if the DLT exclusive Cru-Wear PARA 2 and PARA 3 scales have the same issue as the Crucarta?

Hey guys,


Have a buddy who is selling a Para 2 Cru-wear and a Para 3 Cru-wear (Both the purple G-10 scales with black blade DLT exclusive Cru-wear versions). Ive heard that the Micarta (CruCarta) versions of the Para 2 (And maybe the para 3 too?) Have different liners and are NOT compatible with most after market scales?

Is this the case for the DLT G10 Cru-Wear versions too? I asked my buddy If i could open the knives up before purchasing them but he said NO WAY haha. Im guessing that the liner difference would have to do with the Micarta scales being different than G-10 scales. But still don't wanna risk it.

Can anyone confirm if the Cru-Wear DLT para 2 & 3 have the standard scales that can work with most aftermarket scales?

Did a little research on YouTube and it seems like the DLT version uses the standard liners that fit into the scales.

Your research is right. The difference is just the micarta version since micarta is weaker and flexes more. The steel doesn't have to do with the change

Yep, the DLT versions are definitely the ones you want if you wanted to swap scales. The Micarta version has full liners which you can see on the outer edges of the handle, whereas the standard G10 versions (like the DLT exclusives) have the standard nested liners which you can't see from the edges of the handle since they're nested in the scales.
