Does anyone know maker Jeff Chaffee?

He used to mark his knives J.L. Chaffee. I have 2 fixed blades, a fighter and a tanto I bought from him personally in the 95 and 96.
He was from Indiana. I have seen or heard of him since. He made very nice high quality knives. Any idea if he is still making knives and the value of mine? Thanks

I think he had surgery some months back and may still be in recovery,I think it was his wrist but not sure.

Give him a call. A good friend has a couple tac folders made by him and his work is as good as any. They're very nicely fit and finished knives that are extremely smoothe and solid. Purveyor Dave Lewis usually has Chaffee knives. I'm not sure his (daves)website is up yet it was in the works last time I talked him. Classiccutery.com Can't find daves number maybe another forumite can post it. I don't believe Chaffee has a website.
