Does Anyone Know of an Organized Group of NASCAR Fans in the DC Area?

I have a friend who has become interested in NASCAR and is trying to find others who share that interest. Is there any sort of organized group of NASCAR fans in the Washington, DC, area where this person might go for fellowship and to learn more about the sport just recently discovered? You know, sort of like the local Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) Region is for road racing.

I don't know of any organized clubs but he could always look for a sports bar or a wing joint offering dollar beers during NASCAR races. Just tell him to leave his Jeff Gordon hat at home.

NASCAR Scene is a weekly newspaper that is fairly informative and a good bargain at around 50 bucks for a year subscription.
