I'm just curious if MN has a law on knife carry. I am wondering about concealed carry for fixed blades or folders... lengths etc.

Thanks

you can find a link to knife laws by state on levine's site knife-expert.com

link is on bottom of page.

Hello Jon,
Good to see more Minnesota people joining. Since, I also live in Minnesota I have explored the state laws and from what I gather the only prohibited knives are automatics. The one exception is where it comes to carrying a knife on school property which is a Felony. However, a recent MN Supreme Court ruling has found that they must be able to prove intent for the Felony conviction.
Here is a link to Bernard Levines site http://pweb.netcom.com/~brlevine/sta-law.htm#I-M
And also to the state Statutes in their entirety. http://www.revisor.leg.state.mn.us:8181/SEARCH/BASIS/mnstat/public/www/DDW?W%3DTEXT+PH+IS+%27knife%27+ORDER+BY+SORT_KEY/Ascend%26M%3D2%26K%3D609.66%26R%3DY%26U%3D1
I am not a Lawyer, this is just my opinion.
If you have questions email me, maybe I can help.
Eric

Welcome, Jon. The links Eric listed pretty much says it all. Up here in the Duluth area there are no local statutes covering knife possession or carry.
