Over the years, Buck has used black, green and tan, green, tan, and other colors and combinations of colors of boxes. Is there a history there? Is there some special meaning behind the various box colors?

Doc there were several threads some years ago about the chronology/time line of the various styles/colors of boxes. Not sure if anyone has published in the BCCI Newsletter...bet someone(Bertl) be along to tell all. Preston

Joe Houser has written about this subject in the Collectors newsletters. Maybe search those. DM

Preston, don't bet too much. I really don't care much about boxes and papers. I'm always glad to get them when I buy a knife, but I store my knives and boxes separately. I do index them for the knife that came with them, but if I ever need a particular box it will take a lot of digging around to find the box that goes with a particular knife.

Bert, I was really referring to the newsletter and your work indexing the articles. Preston

Thanks! It is interesting to see the progression of box styles. Does Buck have any historical information on them?
