does anyone know the knife laws of MD and VA?

I was wondering if anyone knew where/what the law was about carrying knives in MD or VA? any help is great!

But of course every state/county/city has its exceptions, and often contradictions. To be safe ask someone in your city who absolutely knows. Make sure to click the local ordinances link at the top of that page.

As a Maryland resident I checked Maryland Code and discovered to my surprise that there is no limit to the length of a folder blade as long as you are not carrying to use as a weapon.

Basically fixed blade knives are illegal to carry unless you are going camping or hunting.

As a result you can legally carry a Cuda Maxx 7.0 but you are not legal carrying a 1/2" fixed blade neck knife.

Makes sense huh?

Balisongs are legal too. Just so you know. Fixed blades are legal if carried in the open. I work in P.G. County as a cop at the AFB. The limit in blade length there is 6" for a folder. Cuda Max 5.5 sounds like a good option .
